In May of 2016 I noticed an opportunity to push the boundaries of the traditional tour merch pop-up shop model.

Kanye West was the inspiration for the new space.

The concept behind the design was to bring the consumer/fan closer to the creative and production processes behind Kanye's iconic tour merchandise.  This immersive experience was achieved by creating a mobile, two-story structure.  The space was broken into two main sections - a first floor atelier and production space and a second floor retail store.

The focal and differentiating point of the structure is the second story grated, steel floor.  While consumers shop the merchandise, they look directly down on the creatives developing the goods in the studio space below.
